Inbee Park records her second win of the year in Malaysia

Inbee Park recorded her second victory of the year after she beat her fellow South Korean player Na Teon Choi to win the prestigious LPGA Malaysia this Sunday. She closed with a 4 under 67 to beat Choi and this will be the second victory for her this year.

Inbee Park took the lead with a beautiful tap in birdie and also got away with bogeys on the final two holes. She commented saying that she was very happy that she had won. She told the reporters that this was the second time she was playing here at this tournament and that she was very proud of herself for having won twice on one year and that it is quite an important victory for her.

Inbee Park won the Evian Masters in France this July and has had a brilliant six consecutive top three finishes and ten top ten finishes in a row. She has been very consistent with her performance and has been raising the bar higher every time she steps out to golf. The previous three tournaments in which she participated saw her tied for second place in the Safeway Classic and finishing a deserving second in the Women’s British Open and Canadian Women’s Open.

She admitted to the reporters that she thought that her golf had improved considerably and that her hitting, putting and chipping had improved as compared to the previous years. Inbee Park had also won the U.S Women’s Open in the year 2008 and said that she had been working really hard on her swing and that she had been hitting it very well all along this year and that it has given her a lot of birdie chances.

She said that she always preferred leading in the game as it made her last day on the greens easier. Though she admits that one has to be in top form on the final day too but that the pressure is not there if one is leading. She admitted that Na Yeon, a fellow South Korean was a tough opponent and that she was aware that she would have to go very low in order to win the tournament.

What remains to be seen is if Inbee Park can carry her tremendous form or will she succumb to the pressure. Only time will tell. But meanwhile one can rest assured that she will sleep peacefully tonight.
